The Bureau of Technology Transfer Development, Department of Agricultural Extension (DOAE), organized the Year End Conference for fiscal year 2019 on 26–28 September 2019 at the Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel, Sattahip District, Chon Buri. A total of 1,750 DOAE specialists, experts and personnel attended. The seminar aimed to enable participants to exchange knowledge and apply it to the development of agricultural extension work.
On this occasion, the Center of Excellence in Infrastructure Management was invited by Dr. Bhichit Rattakul, Secretary-General and Advisor of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) Foundation, to give a special lecture and organize an exhibition titled “Approaches to calibrating multispectral remote-sensing imagery against close-range imagery for precision agriculture applications.” Led by Associate Professor Phisan Santitamnont and Chinawat Saritchalanon, the presentation featured the Foxtech VTOL NIMBUS China and PARROT DISCO Sensefly Swiss drones, suitable for crop yield mapping, fertilizer deficit assessment, crop disease detection and monitoring, and other precision agriculture applications.
