Professor Kasem Choocharukul delivered training to Department of Highways personnel on road safety assessment and the assignment of road star ratings. The ratings provide indicators that can reflect reductions in crash risk following highway improvements. The training also supported assessment of the existing highway network and upgrades to improve safety, in support of Thailand’s National Strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It took place on 9–10 July 2020 in the Department of Highways meeting room.
